This lighthouse was established in 1913 located on the island of Kauai on Kilauea Point Hawaii. The tower and foundation are solid concrete rising 216 feet above sea level and lit by a second order lens. The keeper’s dwellings were quite a distance from the tower so that gale force winds would be less likely to topple them there. In 1992 a devastating hurricane did damage the keeper’s house but the tower was unscathed.
