United States

American Lighthouse Foundation - Based in Wells, Maine. Working for the preservation and restoration of lighthouses, as well as lighthouse,lightship and lifesaving station artifacts and documents throughout America. Be sure to check the links to the individual chapters.

Chesapeake Chapter of the U.S. Lighthouse Society - Focuses on implementing the U.S. Lighthouse Society's goals in the Chesapeake Bay area,particularly with regard to the lighthouses and lightships of Virginia and Maryland.

Delaware River and Bay Lighthouse Foundation, Inc. - Dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the Delaware River & Bay lighthouses.

Florida Lighthouse Association - A not-for-profit organization charteredby the State of Florida for the preservation of Florida's lighthousesand maritime heritage.

Great Lakes Lightkeepers' Association- Facilitates the accumulation and exchange of information about lighthouses and their keepers so that life at these stations may be accurately interpreted,their histories preserved, and a new generation of preservationists developed.

Maine Lighthouse Museum - In Rockland, Mane, a unique collection of historic artifacts of the United States Coast Guard and the U.S.Lighthouse Service.

National Lighthouse Center and Museum - The mission of the National Lighthouse Center and Museum is to broaden the public's appreciation and understanding of America's lighthouse heritage. They plan to collect, research and interpret lighthouse history and technology, and to create an archive and foster research of American lighthouse history.

New Jersey Lighthouse Society - A nonprofit educational corporation dedicatedto the history and preservation of lighthouses everywhere, but particularly in the New Jersey, Delaware Bay and New York Harborareas.

Outer Banks Lighthouse Society, North Carolina. Organized in 1994 to aid in the preservation of the lighthouses in the area.

Save the Light - Working to save Morris Island Light in South Carolina.

United States Coast Guard - Maintaining over 96,000 aids to navigation in the U.S.

Yaquina Lights (Oregon) - Their mission is to interpret the Yaquina Bay and Yaquina Head Lighthouses and surrounding area to the publicby providing educational programs and offering items for marketing related to natural and cultural history.

Nova Scotia Lighthouse Preservation Society -Founded in 1994, promoting awareness and preservation of Nova Scotian lighthouses.
